Towner Eastbourne

“The Levelling Up funding will deliver a world-class centre for education, culture, heritage and the environment at Black Robin Farm, set in the stunning and unique landscape of the South Downs National Park. This site will connect the Downlands with the town and seafront providing a new gateway for Eastbourne communities and visitors to connect with nature, the landscape and our cultural heritage, as well as the iconic landmarks of Beachy Head, Birling Gap, Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Haven. It will also help revitalise Eastbourne’s visitor economy, bringing sustainable growth to the town. In addition we are improving the gallery building in preparation for hosting the Turner Prize in 2023. Working with our stakeholders and communities, we will celebrate Eastbourne’s identity, increasing pride and raising aspirations, and convey its unique heritage to visitors.”
